. . . And I have discovered that it is cheaper to buy a 911 GT3 than a 911 Turbo S. Hrrrmmmm. Now if only I had the money for either of them. . .

Oh and this is my first post since the tiger attack, and I honestly haven't spent that much time on here or the FP since it happened. . . I can't say I like it too much and I am slowly losing interest in anything related to the gawker empire, and that isn't to say that the Oppo community isn't great, but it just happens to be on a horrible interface run by a bunch of hapless technoweenies.

Sorry for the rant, but go play with the Porsche Builder, I was surprised.

Well, duh! They've been heavily discounted due to the whole "engine fire" issue.

If you aren't spontaneously combusting even when stationary then you aren't pushing the car to the limit.

I dunno why anyone buys a Turbo or Turbo S. I would always go GT3 or GT3 RS.

Unless of course I was so rich that I already had a GT3 RS and wanted a Turbo S just for the hell of it.

Exactly my point. A GT3 with the front axle lift system is all I'd need and I'd be perfectly happy. I guess I'd get the Turbo S if I wanted a winter car though. . . That'd be my winter beater. . . . . . But then there is this Monster , and this option.

It's CRAZY how much HP you can get for a decent price now. A tuned 996 Turbo is a great buy. Someone else spent all eve money on upgrades and the new buyer gets then for free.

Even a stock 996 Turbo is a good deal right now.

Yup, if I had the money to get a 996 turbo I'd buy one up in a heart beat, the second one linked looks like a good deal, just got to get rid of the Gemballa suspension and put the stock fascias back on it and all will be good to go. I actually like the way the 996 looks so their plummeting value suits me quite well.

I never loved the look of the standard 996 C2

But the widebody Turbo and 4S were great.

And the GT3 was great too.

It would be easy to spruce up a C2 or C2s to make it more aggressive looking. The standard ones was just too take IMO

The 996 Turbo is a great deal. I remember when it first launched. Me and my Dad were blown away. It looked like a space shuttle compared to his '82 911 SC
